Website analysis is mostly useful for website designers and SEO specialists, but an unknown thing is every webmaster must have at least one website analysis tool to find the issues and health of their website. For example how many 404′s are generating, what are the incoming and outgoing links status. How a URL is responding to a crawler etc. There are lost of online and offline tools available on the web.

1) Xenu – Free website Analysis tool :

• It is free
• Simple user-interface
• Better error reports (not just “network error”)
• “Save” works also while the software is busy
• The “broken links view” shows only broken links, In Web Analyzer you’d have to press the button again and again as the window fills with crap.
• While Xenu does not offer an “update” facility (which doesn’t work anyway), it has a “recheck broken links” function that works fine.
